Job Description
- Oversees a group of 2 - 6 welders.
- Coordinates work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Reviews work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Set up equipment and welds SMAW, TIG, MIG, including able to use cutting torch and draw Isometric drawings. Weld with 100% X-Ray required.
Required Skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates.
- Must have good English / Spanish communication skills.
- Understand welding pipe and material codes.
- Must be able to work in heights of about 200ft, work in confined spaces, wear breathing respirator.
- Must be able to climb ladder and stairways, must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
- Able to operate forklift and operate and work from a man lift basket.
