The Company

Located in South Gate, California, LUNDAY-THAGARD CO. (LTR) has been producing quality petroleum products since 1937. 

We produce a variety of distillate feed stocks that are sold to other California refineries that upgrade them into motor fuels such as Gasoline and Diesel that helps the transportation needs of our state. Information about these may be found on our Products page.

We have the single largest carton roofing pouring facility in the United States.  We manufacture quality Type 3 and Type 4 Carton Asphalt along with Type 3 Bulk Asphalt as well.  Along with Carton Roofing Asphalt we also produce a variety of Roofing Coatings, Roofing Windseals and Roofing Saturates.  These can be tailored for our customer’s individual needs.  We are approved by all major Roofing Manufactures:  Malarkey, Johns Manville, GAF, CertainTeed and others. 

Besides Roofing Asphalt, Lunday-Thagard Co. (LTR) produces several quality California Grade PG Asphalts along with SC Paving Grades. 

Lunday-Thagard Co. (LTR) is a subsidiary of World Oil Corp. and enjoys the benefits of several affiliate companies:

• Ribost Marine Terminal, LLC – An approximate 500,000 barrel Marine Storage and Transfer Terminal facility located in the Long Beach Harbor, Long Beach, California
• Pan Pacific Petroleum Co. – Petroleum Trucking Company located in Bakersfield & South Gate, California
• DeMenno/Kerdoon – Environmental Refinery located in Compton, California
• D/K Environmental – Railcar Loading and Transferring Facility located in Vernon, California
• World Oil Marketing Co. – Operates and supplies gasoline stations throughout California with both major brand and independent fuel
